Hi friends, we’re Tammie & Melissa, the owners of 2 Simple Sisters located on Historic Main Street in St. Charles, MO. We really are actual sisters and grew up riding our bikes down to the very street that our shop is located. It was always a dream of ours to have our own shop in this charming tourist district. Our business began back in March of 2016 after becoming aware of the harmful, toxic ingredients in many of the products we were using daily. As we began to create some of our own natural products, we decided that we should share them with others. That’s when we started our small business as a local vendor with just a handful of products. Over the last 8 years, our business has continued to grow and expand from a 5’x6’ rental space to a 1,400 sf building.
Our goal as a business is not only to support our families, but to also help our customers and ourselves live a cleaner life by learning how to decrease our toxic loads. We create many of our own skincare, cleaning and laundry products as well as partner with other like-minded makers that are working toward the same goal of decreasing exposure to harmful ingredients. We also have expanded our shop to offer home décor, clean burning candles, journals, cards, kitchen items, coffees, teas, clean syrups, sourdough making tools and other fun items such as puzzles and pet products.
While our website only shows a small selection of what we offer, we’d love to invite you to come visit us. Historic Main Street makes for a delightful day trip or weekend getaway, and we would be honored to get to meet you!
